This past Saturday the Top Draw team was excited to be participating in the 2015 Holiday Hamper Program hosted by Junior Chamber International, an annual tradition which aims to provide Christmas for 800 families in Edmonton. Our Top Draw hamper elves met bright and early at Northlands Expo Centre and delivered hampers to 10 families in the Edmonton area.
“Delivering JCI hampers and seeing the smiles on the faces of the recipient families is what Christmas is all about!” – Cindy
“It was incredible to see how many Edmontonians came out to volunteer their time with JCI – the hall was packed! Meeting other volunteers and delivering hampers with my amazing coworkers was the ultimate way to kick-off the holidays.” – Andie
“Giving back with JCI is one of my favourite things about the Christmas season. I love meeting and seeing the joy of the families (especially the kids) when they get their hampers.” – Eddy
In addition to including ingredients for a holiday meal, the hampers also included gifts for the children. Last year’s contributions to the JCI Holiday Hamper Program led to over 3,250 Edmontonians eating over 10 tonnes of turkey and over 65 tonnes of food. Plus over 1750 children opened presents on Christmas Day.
