Bust A Move Recap!

Last Saturday, nearly 400 Edmontonians participated in the first annual Bust A Move for breast health hosted by the Alberta Cancer Foundation. Hundreds of people in synchronized movement, super fun and a fundraiser that makes a huge impact – what more could you ask for? It was a really amazing event to be a part of!

Our team, the Hello Titties, raised just shy of $3,000, which meant I was unable to meet Richard Simmons and get that photograph that I so desperately wanted. BUT, I was invited on stage to dance  with him during his session (along with the entire auditorium, but still…)! For a girl who grew up dancing to his “Sweatin’ to the Oldies” videos, it was a surreal moment.

Altogether the BAMYEG-ers raised over $400,000 for breast cancer research. The coolest part? All of the money we raised is staying in Alberta to help local women and their families who are living with cancer.

A big thank you to all of our supporters, sponsors and the organizers of the event! Thanks to those of you who supported the Hello Titties, and to those of you who maybe supported another team that took part in this fantastic fundraiser. Your dollars really are making a difference.
